Why Humanities & Applied Sciences?
Applied Sciences is not about why..its about why not?
in the modern age science  and technology, the study of applied sciences is indespensible for the deep understanding of engineering subjects. “The Constitution of India” and “Professional Ethics” are two Humanities subjects that strengthen the civic sense and ethics of the students. Environmental studies make our students stewards of the environment that sustains us, our families and communities now and in the future.

Mathematics is indispensable for the engineering community.  Students use mathematics to understand and solve engineering problems.  For mathematics, the department has research centers recognized by Kurukshetra University.

Physics is crucial to the understanding of the world around us. Physics encompasses the study of the universe from the largest galaxies to the smallest subatomic particles. Physics is the basis of many engineering courses.

Like Physics, many of engineering subjects depend on chemistry. The faculty members for chemistry are committed to the students and to research. The teaching staff of the department have published many papers on chemistry in national and international journals. The areas of research are nano science, medicinal chemistry, membrane technology and natural products.

The English Communication skills laboratory is an integral part of the department. Students receive training in written and verbal communication essential to succeed in the work place

Department of Applied Science and Humanities, in perfect conformity and commendable balance, is a department that serves as the bedrock on which this institute is firmly structured. This becomes a foundation that aims at creating analytical and innovative engineers who prove to be authentic pillars that serves as a strong edifice of the nation. Students of engineering are provided with the basic tools of analysis as well as the knowledge of the principles on which engineering is based. The department also strives to instill the scientific temper and the spirit of enquiry in students. It encourages the students to understand and therefore, apply the physical laws to the development of their fields of study. The department takes care of core subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental studies and Professional communications. The department has competent and knowledgeable faculty and well equipped laboratories.

The Department is working with the objective of laying strong foundation at the first year stage so that the grasp of engineering streams becomes easily accessible. The clarity of concepts in pure sciences goes a long way to help them in engineering streams

Our Department is backed by well-educated, talented and dedicated faculty members to fulfill this task. In addition to the primary teaching duties discharged by them, many of them have their publications in National as well as International Journals of repute for attaining perfection in their profession. The subjects taught by teachers of this department are of prime importance for all round growth and development of students. The Department is carrying a mission to create and disseminate knowledge and tools in intellectual areas at the interfaces between areas of engineering and other core areas of Applied Sciences and Humanities.

Planning new townships and extension of existing towns, building the suitable structures for the rural and urban areas for various utilities, building river navigation and flood control projects, devise systems for control and efficient flow of traffic, providing and maintaining solid and waste water disposal systems, earthquake resistant design of civil engineering structures and many such more are challenges of job as a civil engineer. Apart from this fast growing industrialization has put heavy responsibilities on civil engineers to preserve and protect environment.

The profession demands excellent skills for both administration and supervision of projects. Excellence and responsibility are important factors associated with the job. In other words, whenever you see or read about any popular landmark in the world (iconic works like Golden Gate Bridge, The Gateway of India, Burj Khalifa, etc.), there is a civil engineer involved in its construction.

Civil engineering probably has the maximum slots for job in governments sectors like IES, PSUs and State public service commissions. Not only in government sectors, private sectors even have more demand of skilled civil engineers. If we talk about research, civil engineering offers a lot to do. Either it is core or interdisciplinary research, civil engineering covers a big domain of research and development field.

About The Department
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2011 and has grown over the years into one of the finest centers of training in the field of civil engineering. The Department offers a four-year course leading to the Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Undergraduate program in civil Engineering has been developed to meet the latest requirement of the infrastructural development of our country in areas like Construction, Transportaion, Hydropower, and Environmental Engineering. The curriculum has been developed to keep in it more practical and industry oriented with due inter- relationwith academics.The laboratories are equipped with excellent and advanced equipments and provide all the facilities for advanced research in the field of civil engineering.

Also,the Department is known for its reputed faculty having expertise in diverse fields. It has built up a wide research potential. The faculty of the department continues to strive loftier by exploring new frontiers of knowledge, imparting the latest technical knowledge to the students and conducting high quality of research. The faculty also renders technical advice on live engineering problems to various Government and Private Sector companies throughout country.

Why Computer Science & Engg. ?

Computer Science Engineering : Over the years, Indian engineers have contributed across the world in the field of  Computer Science Engineering. Indian consumers have over the years moved to the online platform for carrying out basic and simple tasks like shopping, booking tickets, etc. to unprecedented growth in E-commerce sector. Websites like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon have been contributing in the economy of India over the last couple of years.
From late 19th century, several Indians have been recruited by the IT majors like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, Accenture etc. They were even recruited in the famous Silicon Valley in USA by top companies like Yahoo!, Adobe, Apple Inc, Google, Intel, etc.

About The Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established by the approval of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), to meet the growing requirement of engineers in Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology discipline. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research in various areas of Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has highly qualified and experienced faculty members, many of them hold doctorate degrees. Faculty members are actively pursuing research in areas like High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Network Security and Forensics, Wireless Networks, Computer Vision, Speech and Image Processing, Data Mining, Soft Computing, Bioinformatics, Information Retrieval etc. Department offers B. WHY Electrical and Electronics Engineering ?
Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the invention, design, development and commercial applications of electrical and electronics systems, components and devices, generation, transmission and distribution. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is applied to wide domains such as: Civil, Automobile, Mechanical, Aviation, Power & Energy Sector, Nanotechnology, Industrial Control, Automation satellite Communication, Power Quality Assessment etc. As per the recent scenario, there is a much demand of Electrical Engineers across the globe. The necessity of electricity has increased in recent years from domestic to Industry. This increase in requirement of electricity is offering large number of opportunities to Electrical Engineers. There are employment opportunities available in a wide range of sectors, such as the manufacturing, power, construction, etc. Mechanical engineers can also be involved in the management of people and resources, as well as the development and use of new materials and technologies.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a diverse range of meticulous academic programs designed to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities that abound in modern technology and society. The Department offers B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering which provides a broad-based education in the engineering sciences with project-based laboratory and design subjects to give graduates a strong grounding in quantitative, problem-solving, design, and communications skills. Presently department is active in various thrust areas of research some of them are Finite Element Analysis, Mechanical Vibration, Soft Computing & Response surface Modelling, Vibration &Acoustics, Bio-Mechanics, Material Science, Advanced Manufacturing, Modelling & Simulation, Numerical Methods.

The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructural facilities in thrust areas. It has advanced laboratories of CAM and robotics, Thermal Engineering, Fluids Engineering, Materials Science and Material Testing, Modeling and Simulation and Microwave processing of Materials, latest tools in the work shop, welding shop and carpentry. It also has advanced computing labs with software in computer Graphics, Scientific Computations, Finite Element Analysis and Modeling.

Faculty members and students regularly attend technical seminars and workshops organized by various technical institutes, and many of them have presented papers in National and International conferences and seminars. Students regularly attend training programmes and participate in competitions organized by various institutes. Students have also qualified many national level examinations such as CSIR-NET, GATE, etc and are very well placed in National and Multi-national companies.

About the Program
Master of Business Administration program offered by the Institute is a two year degree program. Value Added Programs

To enhance the professional skills of our students and give them a competitive advantage, Institute provides an array of value added programs with leading training partners. Live Projects: TERii organizes industrial tours in India for its students which are focused on corporate exposure that is a must for budding professionals to be familiar with the real corporate environment and understand the challenges faced by modern industry. These tours facilitate interface with the corporate professionals and executives.

International Internship Tour (Optional): International Internship Tour will be organized for those students who choose this option and make the additional Fee payment as a part of the 1st Year annual fee (2nd Installment). Organization of this tour shall be subject to a minimum number of enrollments of 30 participants.

Personality Development Program: Programs on personality development are provided across four semesters of study. These programs sharpen the communication skills and overall personality development of the students through practical exercises. The Program with inputs for career planning, improves students’ motivation towards their degrees as a link between their theoretical experience and their future working career, thereby making them more ‘Industry-ready’.

The interns from TERii Institute are placed with organizations of repute for 4-6 weeks, at the end of second semester. Graduate in any discipline with min. 50% marks (for final year appearing candidates, an aggregate of all previous years should be minimum 50%) are eligible to apply.
